About

Grace Chan is a Consultant Gastroenterologist with a specialist interest in hepaticopancreaticobiliary medicine (HPB). She qualified from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine, University of London. Following that, she obtained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in both Ireland and the UK in 2008 and has dual certification in general internal medicine and gastroenterology. She then advanced her training in interventional endoscopy and advanced pancreatic and biliary endoscopy in Imperial College Healthcare Trust.

She has won awards, including recognition at national level for her research within the fields of gastroenterology and endoscopy. She has been invited to present her findings at both national and international platforms in Europe and America. She is also interested in training within medicine and the role of doctors in healthcare management. She has obtained a postgraduate certificate on the subject and has led multiple quality improvement projects across the years.

Her clinical work at St Mark’s Hospital includes the management of patients with general gastroenterology and liver disease, disease of the bile ducts such as stone disease and strictures, pancreatic disease and the endoscopic management of these conditions including ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreaticography). She puts patients at the centre of her clinical decision making and care.
