He qualified from Imperial College, London in 2005 and undertook specialist training in the North West Thames London rotation. He has completed a fellowship in advanced endoscopy at St Mark’s Hospital and is skilled at diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. Lisa Younge developed the IBD Nursing Service at St Mark’s in 2001 and returned as a Nurse Consultant in IBD in 2020. She has over 20 years experience working within the speciality and is passionate about delivering services which support people with Inflammatory Bowel Disease to feel included and valued in their care and empowered to manage their condition.

Prior to his appointment at St Mark’s Hospital he was a consultant surgeon in Sydney Australia where he did most of his training. He has a speciality interest in inflammatory bowel disease, intestinal failure, pelvic floor surgery and surgery for early cancer. Professor Omar Faiz is a Consultant Colorectal, General Surgeon at St Marks Hospital and Professor of Practice (Colorectal Surgery) at Imperial College. His area of clinical interest is colorectal surgery and in particular the surgical management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and colorectal cancer. Professor Faiz is Clinical Director of St Mark’s. He has wide research interests and he supervises a number of PhD and MD research fellows at Imperial College.
